The Best Dry Dog Food

If your dog is eating poop, and you are currently feeding only dry food, one of the first things you should do is switch to a raw diet if possible. If you can’t go with raw foods, canned or dehydrated foods are also acceptable. If you must use dry food, at least try to feed raw or canned a few times a week. Dry foods have a very low moisture content, which is hard on your dog’s digestive system.

Any dry dog food selected should not contain grain. Furthermore, you should avoid corn, soy, dairy and wheat based ingredients. Many dogs are intolerant of these ingredients and may react in subtle ways

All foods that I use are made in the US or Canada. I have linked to Pet Food Direct, as it is the most inexpensive site that I can find online to get specialty dog food (please see my post on the cheapest place to buy pet food online). If you have better sources to get food online, I’m always looking, so please send me an email.
